I soon spoke to Daryn about making a new album, original guitarist, Davie, was signed up! Lisa had got in touch with me about playing bass but tragically died in December of that year. Here you have two powerful punk gems that were recorded back in 1979. Next two tracks are from Street Spirits, a very obscure band also from up North who actually released one incredibly rare and hard single to find back in 1977. They were formed by two Horton brothers and only played a handful of gigs before they imploded. Sadly this is the only photo of the band that exists! Tracks five and six are by Psycho Normal and His Stiff Victims who have become a bit of a myth \/ folklore around the Brighton area. They formed in early 1977 and played all the haunts and even the legendary Roxy Club. In their short existence, they managed to recorded three tracks which two of them are here. They even cut a three track acetate and had six copies pressed! The keyboard player from this band 'Pete Lyon' ended up playing in The Depressions and then the Vandells. Side one ends from Relapse with two tracks by this Teen Punk band from outta High Wycombe. Their singer was only 14 at the time these tracks were recorded. They played a lot of gigs around their area and had a good young strong following.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNow on to Side Two... Here we give you two tracks by Gosport’s band Carnage. A little bit different in style to the usual 1,2,3,4 punk but once you hear these tracks they become a bit of an earworm, especially 'Kickin' Around'. The next band The Violators are quite a well-documented band as their young singer 'Norm Fasey' was very active on the internet and was well liked. Sadly he passed away a few years back so this album is in his honour! Before he passed we went down to visit him and he gave us all the recordings he had. Sadly the master tapes had been lost and only had the surviving tracks on cassette but they still had to be documented even though the quality wasn’t the best But as they were Full-On Punk attitude they had to be used!. So hope Norm is smiling down on us and finally seeing two of his tracks finally making it onto vinyl after recording them back in 1977\/78. R.I.P. Mate... Tracks five and six are from Bromley’s own Punk Rockers The Vamp who were led by 'Wayne Cregan'. His life story could be made into a film.... He even was in a few films himself as he had bit parts in a James Bond film as well as a Monty Python film. Several line ups exist of this band and Wayne was the only constant member but these two tracks (not the best quality again as they have been salvaged from an old cassette) had to be used as it documents how great they were and even appear as the front cover stars. The last two penultimate tracks are from Catalist who came from the outskirts of Glasgow. In their existence they managed to release one scarce single that hardly ever turns up now. Yes, that's right! Volume 12 is here!!!!! This time Bin Liner have dug deep and have really uncovered some long lost Punk Rock gems that have laid undiscovered for over 40 years. In-fact, some of the members of these bands have not heard these songs since being recorded back in 1977\/78. This release kicks off with two bands from Slough, the home of Open Sore, Robert and the Remoulds, The Onlookers etc. The Xtensions were the real deal, formed in '77, recorded four tracks, played one chaotic gig and then disbanded. Thankfully for us and you, the band actually had all four tracks cut onto a 10\" acetate which one copy has been unearthed. All four tracks are amazing and are real council estate, bleak outlook, three day a week Conserative cut backs.... Punk Rock! \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNext up is The Mystery Girls who also feature one ex member of XTensions. Their opening track will blow you away. Its derogative, offensive, non PC but when you are teenagers you just don't care! Now 40 years on, you think wow, couldn't get away with those lyrics now! Like the Xtensions, the Mystery Girls had their recordings cut onto an acetate to keep. Five copies were cut and a couple of the band sent theirs away to radio stations, one of which was the late great John Peel. Fast forward 40 years and that actual copy turned up on ebay which Detour managed to win....Only three known copies exist now! Two years after they recorded these brilliant tracks the band actually re-recorded some of these tracks and released a 7\" single called \u003ci\u003eSounds Like The Mystery Girls\u003c\/i\u003e on Strange Records. These newly recorded versions are good but the sound of the band had moved on and was more in keeping with the times. A further single was released in 1981. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt now moves onto the Portsmouth band The Media who released two rare and collectable singles back in 1979\/80. The first track here is a demo version to the track that appeared on the bands debut EP \u003ci\u003eNo Darling I Love The Media\u003c\/i\u003e. The second track \u003ci\u003eJust For You\u003c\/i\u003e was scheduled and was intended to be featured on the bands debut EP and is actually printed on the label and 99% of all these labels have a pen line through this track. This track was dropped in favour of a newly recorded track\u003ci\u003e Getting High\u003c\/i\u003e which the band felt was a stronger track. However, \u003ci\u003eJust For You\u003c\/i\u003e is a real punch in the air punk anthem and is as catchy as hell! Their next track is from the bands debut EP and the last track by them is taken from the bands second single\u003ci\u003e South Coast City Rockers\u003c\/i\u003e that was release on the local Brain Boosters label in 1980. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThen comes the short lived St. Matilda's Boys. This band was recommended to by Haydn of Synde\/Two-Tone Pinks as he actually sings backing vocals to this track. The band featured Jim Carter and Doug Newton who were to evolve into F.T. Index a year later and appeared on \u003ci\u003eA Manchester Collection (Bands Of The Manchester Musicians Collective)\u003c\/i\u003e compilation album. They recorded four tracks back in 1978 but sadly only this track has survived.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNext up is Synde from Manchester who were formed in 1977 and were booked to support the Sex Pistols at 'Champness Hall' in Rochdale until Cyril Smith MP prevented the gig from going ahead. The first four tracks here are from the actual master tape from the bands first venture into a studio. They are raw with plenty of teenage angst! The next three tracks are from the bands second time in the studio. After two years of Synde, the bands evolved into Manchester's Premier Mod band The Two-Tone Pinks. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe last band to be featured on this release are a little bit different, the guitarist was in the Mystery Girls from Slough but had moved away to University in Kent and assembled a new band called The Famous Men. Loads of new songs were written and recorded with plenty of live dates followed. They recorded ten tracks in total, six are featured here direct off the master tape. The other four were re-recorded a few months later and released on Polydor Records. (Decoyed \/ You're Cold \/ I'm Leaving \/ Everybody's the Same). \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe next band The Vultures are a band from the Middlesbrough \/ Teesside area and actually released a single called 'Let's go' in 1979. The first two tracks featured here are a great slice of early punk and were actually recorded a year before the single and featured a different singer.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNow onto side two, Interference kicks it off. A Newly discovered band for Bin Liner that was recommended to from a collector of the series who knew they would fit in perfectly and he couldn't of been more correct!. They hailed from North Lancashire and had the pleasure of Supporting The Clash on the 16 tons Tour @ Lancaster University Great Hall on Wednesday 23rd January 1980. They also appeared on the Granada TV Program 'World In Action' and recorded several demo tracks but sadly they haven't got access to the masters as of yet!. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNext up in Deadlock from Aldershot and formed in 1979. These tracks are from their very first demo before they had a line-up change. The style was classic punk, with guitar hooks and chant-along choruses. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNext up is the band The Lost from Maldon, Chelmsford who shone brightly for a very small time but did manage to record these two tracks and then they were gone! Incidentally, the singer then reappeared again as the manager of The Accidents who were also from Maldon. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSide two closes with a band from Liverpool who were known as Reiner Chaos in the early 80s and after a small line-up change they reappeared as Das Reiner. This band had a huge local following and looked the part and should of gone onto bigger things.
