There was one show in particular that would require them to travel from Indy to Connecticut in the snow to open for national act Cinderella. Being that it was a long drive and the weather was bad the guys were reluctant, but Uncle Al insisted! As fate would have it, that show would lead to Eric the bass player from Cinderella passing along the album \u003ci\u003eHung\u003c\/i\u003e to industry A\u0026amp;R giant John Kalodner. Kalodner instantly fell in love with the record and insisted on seeing the band live! After lining up an opener in Indy for the band Tesla, Kalodner heard one song and was sold. He wanted to take the band on and make a record! At that point bassist Mark Mathews was brought in and once things were solidified, Ed brought DeAcutis back into the fold and told him to head west! \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDeAcutis packed his Chevy to the gills, and with a 4x12 in the back seat he drove directly to Indianapolis to start rehearsing for the record! Stevie D would be the glue contributing the final touches to the Soma sound. The band ultimately recorded \u003ci\u003eHeaded For\u003c\/i\u003e \u003ci\u003eThe Zero\u003c\/i\u003e with Kalodner bringing in producer Kevin “Caveman” Shirley. Rumbo Recorders in LA was the studio chosen, home of \u003ci\u003eAppetite For Destruction\u003c\/i\u003e. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003eHeaded For\u003c\/i\u003e \u003ci\u003eThe Zero’s\u003c\/i\u003e was tracked and finished by spring of ’96. Unfortunately, the record was never released and has been patiently waiting for an opportunity to see the light of day. Luckily, Khalil Turk has graciously decided to give it the release it deserves on Escape Music Ltd along with its original artwork by Hugh Syme (Rush, Aerosmith). Matt Filippini is an Italian guitar player, rock songwriter and producer. After working with some local bands, he started to take it seriously when in 2001 he started to play some gigs in Italy during a masterclass tour of the legendary drummer Ian Paice (Deep Purple founder and current member since 1968 but also with Paul McCartney, Gary Moore and Whitesnake).  One year later, in 2003, after writing a bunch of rocking songs and recording a demo in his home studio, Matt gave a cd with the tracks to listen to Mr. Paice who liked the stuff and agreed to record the drum tracks for the songs. So after Ian Paice recorded three of the tracks, Matt asked Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, ...) to record vocals for two of the songs. Those became Rose In Hell and Where Do You Hide The Blues You've Got, two of the most appreciated songs from the first Matt's studio album, MOONSTONE PROJECT Time To Take A stand, released April 2006 on Majestic Rock Records. Formed In 1989 the original band released their debut “No.1” in 1992. A cult melodic rock album that was mixed in the legendary PUK Studio in Denmark. The debut reached the top 30 in Japan and got great reviews all over. Following their debut the more experimental “We Ourselves \u0026amp; Us” and the very rocking album “Electric” were released. Again – great receptions! All three albums with Hans Dalzon (then Johansson) behind the microphone. In 2000 the band was rebuilt and led by bassist B.J Laneby M.ILL.ION did four more albums “Detonator”, “Kingsize”, “Thrill of the Chase” and “Sane \u0026amp; Insanity” all the way up to 2014. Then M.ILL.ION was put on hold The four original members then reunited in 2020 ahead of M.ILL.ION´s 30:th anniversary. The band released the reunion album “BACK ON TRACK” which included four brand new songs and remixes and remasters from their back catalogue material.
