Anchored by a brooding synth bass line and later reimagined around nylon guitars, the song evolved from gritty and swaggy to soft, sparkly, and introspective. The track was co-produced and co-written by Simon Lam (Kllo, Lastlings, Ralph Castelli) in his studio on a rainy day in the meat district. “The day of the recording session felt like a space for me to fully dive into those feelings and confront that cowardice. Leaning into that gave birth to the hey you hook—kind of like a ‘hey you, yeah you, I’m talking to you’ statement,” says \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eFelivand on the process and concept of the album, this was an entirely new, uninhibited and expansive direction for \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eFelivand. “The concept of the album is all about trusting feeling over thought.
