Eventually, he found himself at Fame Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals where he worked as a writer and producer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDuring his time at Fame Recording Studios, Jackson wrote one of his most famous songs, \"One Bad Apple\". This song became a number one hit in 1971 when it was performed by *The Osmonds*. In addition to this success, Jackson also wrote or co-wrote hit songs for artists such as Candi Staton, Clarence Carter, James Brown, Bob Seger, Wilson Pickett and many others.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eTragically, George Jackson passed away on April 14th, 2013 at the age of 68 due to cancer.
