After working as a social therapist and psychiatric nurse for several years, Coyne signed a record deal in 1969 and formed the band Siren. His solo career took off with the release of his powerful album \"Marjory Razorblade\" in 1973. Throughout his career, Coyne remained uncompromising in his musical style and gained recognition for his unique blend of blues and music hall comedy with a punk edge.
