At a time when most music was recorded with a full army of studio musicians, Cloud One records were mostly played, arranged and mixed in their entirety by Patrick Adams himself!!! The ability to "work on his own" allowed the music to feel more experimental than the work he did on major labels at the time. While there’s beenother compilations, this is the first official P&P collection dedicated to the work of Patrick Adams as Cloud One. Spaced Out compiles the best of Cloud One’s output with songs from their Atmosphere Strut LP, their Funky Disco Tracks EP and a number of known 12“ singles as well as some hard-to-find titles like Patti Duke, Don't Let My Rainbow Pass Me By, and Flying High. Spread accros 2LPs, Spaced Out is not only a good addtion to fans of the P&P Catalog, but also the perfect introduction to the work of Legendary Disco Producer Patrick Adams.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0867/1120/6219/files/e4797892-b728-4839-9941-2b92059aca8d_thumbnail_4096.jpg?v=1726666522
dance-dance-dance-rsd-2022
Dance Dance Dance (RSD 2022)

Peter Brown's P&P label is possibly the most collectible of all the Disco era independent labels. The distribution was always patchy, the records would often appear out of nowhere and then disappear equally fast. Many of the artists were one-off productions or working under hastily conceived pseudonyms. In short, P&P has all the ingredients of the perfect label for diggers everywhere with records still being discovered some 40 years later.

Little is known about Marta Acuna but plenty is known about the production team of Patrick Adams and Lonnie Johnson who were just way ahead of everyone else on this spacy Disco jam from 1977. It's been consistantly popular on the cooler dance-floors for the last 20 years but suddenly the 7" has sprung into demand. A mint copy isn't far off £100 these days, so it seemed a good time to finally make the 7" available again. As per usual this will be on the original 7" P&P label and Mint (which is near impossible to find these days). Always handy to have a guaranteed banger on a crisp 7" pressing and that P&P label looks so good.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0867/1120/6219/files/5940d8d0-1124-4531-a58c-8e7899f7d0b3_thumbnail_4096.jpg?v=1727210780
