Formed in the early 1980s, their classic line-up consisted of vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarists Warren DiMartini and Robbin \"King\" Crosby, bassist Juan Croucier, and drummer Bobby \"Blotz\" Blotzer. They played a significant role in the growing glam scene of Los Angeles during that time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eFrom 1984 to 1990, RATT released five commercially successful albums. However, as popular music tastes changed and guitarist Robbin Crosby battled heroin addiction, the band's fortunes declined. After substituting guitarist Michael Schenker for Crosby on tour, RATT released their final single \"Nobody Rides for Free\" in 1991 before disbanding.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIn 1997, some members of RATT discussed a reunion but faced challenges due to drug addiction and health issues among certain members. The band experienced lineup changes over the years with varying levels of success. Featuring an undeniable hook and legendary music video, lead single “Round And Round” hit #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Out Of The Cellar” reached #7 on the Billboard Top 200 and was certified triple platinum. Two more charting singles followed with “Back For More” and “Wanted Man”. RATT started the tour as an opening act, but by the end of the tour had climbed to arena headliner. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRatt returned in 1985 with their 2nd full length album, \u003ci\u003eInvasion Of Your Privacy\u003c\/i\u003e. Certified double platinum and also reaching #7 on the Billboard Top 200, Invasion of Your Privacy also featured the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hit “Lay It Down” and the classic “You’re In Love”. Another hit music video was made for “What You Give Is What You Get”. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003eDancing Undercover\u003c\/i\u003e followed in 1986 as Ratt toured North America with a brand new LA band called Poison as the opening act. Lead single “Dance” hit the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned another music video hit with “Slip Of The Lip,” while “Body Talk” was featured in a key scene in the Eddie Murphy film, The Golden Child. Dancing Undercover became RATT’s 3rd consecutive Platinum album and reached #26 on the Billboard Top 200. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e1988’s \u003ci\u003eReach For The Sky\u003c\/i\u003e saw Ratt return to the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200 album charts, peaking at #17.
