The band embarked on tours following the album release, but their lineup changed before recording their second album, \u003cem\u003eRed Sea\u003c\/em\u003e, which was released in June 1972.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAfter the release of \u003cem\u003eRed Sea\u003c\/em\u003e, drummer Mac Poole left to join Gong, and \u003cstrong\u003eBarney James\u003c\/strong\u003e replaced him in Warhorse. The band continued until 1974, but vocalist \u003cstrong\u003eAshley Holt\u003c\/strong\u003e and Barney James eventually left to join \u003cstrong\u003eRick Wakeman\u003c\/strong\u003e in his band, The English Rock Ensemble.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe two albums recorded by Warhorse are considered fine examples of Progressive Hard Rock from that era. Compared to label mates Black Sabbath, Warhorse were in the end much closer to Atomic Rooster and Quatermass.
