Their new album confirms all of this. Me estan apuntando con un arma includes eleven songs that are over in the blink of an eye, and which make us dance wildly, get angry, laugh, and feel excited like teenagers. Bile pours out of "k pesao", while the song "Sexo Fender (Cenicero)", gives us the line "Me huele el pelo a cenicero" (My hair smells like an ashtray) to the beat of pounding guitars. Or that strange love story (or not) that is "Romantinski". To this cocktail, we have to add collaborations with two groups that are also specialists in never taking their foot off the gas pedal: Mujeres kills it on "Soy una fracasada estúpida" and Olaya from Axolotes Mexicanos does her thing with "Es la forma que tienes de ocultar algo que hay en tu mente".

Me estan apuntando con un arma takes you on a ride on an apocalyptic roller coaster, where anything can happen. You can feel sick or feel the indescribable adrenaline rush. You can even fall in love, almost by accident. Join the Spanish crowds that are already singing along with their unique lyrics.

Part of Elefant's New Adventures in Pop series. Aiko El Grupo got started in an unusual way. Tere and Lara knew each other from school, when they lived in Valle de Camargo (Cantabria). Bárbara finished her schooling in Lucena and came to Madrid for university, and that is when she met Tere (who is also part of Yawners and Repion), and the three start going to the rehearsal space a lot, where little by little, and driven by bad relationships and alcohol-infused nights, really interesting things start happening. They played their first show in Cantabria and Jaime, who was in the audience and playing guitar at the time with Altair, offered to join the band. And that is how all the pieces of the puzzle came together to make up a punk-pop group with a riot attitude and absolutely irreverent lyrics. Por qué no dices la verdad is the only song on this Mini-LP that surpasses the 3-minute mark. Is this or is this not a total declaration of intentions? Their palette of sounds goes beyond the spectrum of punk-pop - there are catchy, ultra-fresh melodies and absolutely marvelous vocal plays: harmonies, melodies, shouts. For fans of Joanna Gruesome, Tiger Trap, Pixies, Pavement, Best Coast, Shonen Knife.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0867/1120/6219/files/d19d8b0a-67c3-4d0e-9f0b-47229e488079_thumbnail_4096.jpg?v=1727428518
