He replaced Peter Criss as the drummer for the iconic band Kiss in 1980. Prior to joining Kiss, Carr was a member of the band Creation and tragically survived the deadly Gulliver's Nightclub fire in 1974. His former bandmates Damon DeFeis and George D. Chase were among the victims of this tragedy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCarr made significant contributions to Kiss during his time with the band, including recording numerous albums and performing on their successful tours.
