Gregory Isaacs

Gregory Isaacs, the Cool Ruler, brought uncommon ease and feeling to Jamaican reggae. Born in Kingston in 1951, he began recording in the late 1960s and became especially prized for romantic songs delivered with a relaxed, intimate voice. Night Nurse remains a sharp entry point into a catalogue that ran until his death in 2010.
