Kategorie: John McLaughlin

John McLaughlin is the English guitarist whose restless, high-velocity playing helped define jazz fusion. After early work with figures including Alexis Korner and Ginger Baker, he made his name with Extrapolation, then founded the Mahavishnu Orchestra in 1971. He later turned to acoustic guitar and Indian music with Shakti, while continuing wide-ranging collaborations.
