Kategorie: Polydor

Polydor is one of the longest-running names in recorded music, founded in Germany in 1913 and active across the UK and beyond. Its catalogue reaches from major pop institutions to newer chart voices, which helps explain the label’s unusual breadth: ABBA and The Who sit in the same lineage as artists such as Olivia Dean, Sam Fender and Self Esteem.

That range matters. Polydor has been a steady presence in British pop and rock for decades, while also operating as an international label with roots in Europe and a global reach. Rather than belonging to one narrow scene, it has built its identity through scale, continuity and a knack for carrying established names alongside new arrivals.
