Slipknot

Slipknot is a metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in September 1995. Originally known as "The Pale Ones", they later became "Meld" before settling on the name Slipknot. The band went through several lineup changes before solidifying their best-known lineup in 1999. They signed with [l34268] in 1998 and remained with the label until April 2023.

Tragically, Slipknot experienced the loss of bassist Paul Gray in 2010 and drummer Joey Jordison's departure in 2013. However, they continued to evolve by adding new members such as guitarist James Root and bassist Alessandro Venturella. In June 2023, the band announced their split from sampler and keyboarder Craig Jones.

Despite these challenges, Slipknot has left an indelible mark on the metal genre with their intense performances and unique sound. Their powerful music resonates with fans around the world, making them one of the most influential bands in modern metal history.
