{"product_id":"atomic-rooster","title":"Atomic Rooster","description":"\u003cp\u003eOriginally founded in 1969 by former Crazy World of Arthur Brown organist \u003cstrong\u003eVincent Crane\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cem\u003eAtomic Rooster\u003c\/em\u003e recorded five albums between 1969 and 1973 and enjoyed two hit singles with the tracks ‘Tomorrow Night’ and ‘Devil’s Answer’ in 1970 and 1971 respectively.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe band line-up varied from album to album, but it was generally recognised that the “classic” line-up of the band featured \u003cstrong\u003eVincent Crane\u003c\/strong\u003e joined by \u003cstrong\u003eJohn Du Cann\u003c\/strong\u003e (guitar, vocals) and \u003cstrong\u003ePaul Hammond\u003c\/strong\u003e (drums) that existed between 1970 – 1971.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eAtomic Rooster\u003c\/em\u003e finally disbanded in 1975, but in 1980 \u003cstrong\u003eVincent Crane\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eJohn Du Cann\u003c\/strong\u003e reformed the band to record a new album. The sessions featured Preston Heyman on drums and the album \u003cem\u003eAtomic Rooster\u003c\/em\u003e was released in September 1980.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe album featured a muscular rock style and was well received. To promote the album, the band undertook a tour which featured drummer \u003cstrong\u003ePaul Hammond\u003c\/strong\u003e back in the ranks. A memorable concert at London’s Marquee Club on 19th November 1980 was recorded and eventually released in 2002.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis remastered edition of \u003cem\u003eAtomic Rooster\u003c\/em\u003e has been expanded to a two-disc set to include the \u003cem\u003eLive at The Marquee 1980\u003c\/em\u003e album, but also features a further 11 bonus tracks drawn from studio outtakes, demos, and a rare single B-side.
