These demos were later taken to the band’s North London studio where \u003cstrong\u003eTim Heymerdinger\u003c\/strong\u003e played drums, and John added further instrumentation with recording engineer \u003cstrong\u003eSonny Johns\u003c\/strong\u003e (Fatoumata Diawara, Portico Quartet) at the helm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eMany of John’s skeletal demos were maintained in the final recording sessions as their distinct solitary mood, complete with creaking piano keys and nearby birdsong, had captured something very special. The \u003cstrong\u003eLittle Unsaid\u003c\/strong\u003e violist \u003cstrong\u003eAlison D’Souza\u003c\/strong\u003e assembled a string quartet in Stoke Newington’s 16th-century church to lay down the string parts on \u003cem\u003eAtomise\u003c\/em\u003e.
