Named after the hermetic composer from Welsh poet Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood , the countryside haunts of England and their enigmatic inhabitants are deeply rooted in Organ Morgan’s self described Barroom Ballads. The brainchild of Harris McMillan and Frank Wright , Dracula’s Toothache serves a perfect introduction to their reflective, poignant, super-visceral songwriting. Speaking about the track, McMillan says: "The song came from some unpleasant realisations I had about getting older - I noticed I’d shed many parts of my life that I’d always considered integral, and kept other parts that I’d rather have lost. I found the most reliable image I had of myself was in the way others saw me - it can be difficult to live outside those expectations." Now operating as a five-piece, McMillan formed the group to give life to half a decade’s worth of material, sketches and compositions. Five years of drifting in and out of Folk nights has shaped their persona - upright pianos, accordions and a collection of rustic instruments all making regular appearances across their poetic explorations.

The Organ Morgan lineup comprises Boz Martin-Jones , Frank Wright , Maggie Forés and Harris McMillan , old friends from nearby villages, and is completed by Stefano Amoretti of Genova.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0867/1120/6219/files/e8624955-ca84-4a1d-a259-1b8dc3c9261f_thumbnail_4096.jpg?v=1726554056
