By the late 1960s, the Mexican group had become a heavy psychedelic rock band with no compromises, drawing from Iron Butterfly, Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, Vanilla Fudge and, at times, MC5.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIn a scene packed with cover bands, \u003cstrong\u003eAntorcha\u003c\/strong\u003e pushed original music and an anti-establishment spirit. They ran as a cooperative, making decisions together and splitting income equally, while self-producing five EPs sold only at shows between 1971 and 1976.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis compilation gathers the best of their self-released 7-inch records, plus tracks never issued on those EPs.
