Mulvey and Lavis were soon replaced respectively by keyboard player and vocalist \u003cstrong\u003eDavid Batchelor\u003c\/strong\u003e, and \u003cstrong\u003eRichard “Wullie” Monro\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis line-up recorded \u003cem\u003ePiggy Go Getter\u003c\/em\u003e at Regent Sound studios in London in 1970. The album was a fine progressive rock record which gained a release both in the UK and the USA (adorned in an elaborate gatefold sleeve).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTear Gas\u003c\/strong\u003e enjoyed a fine reputation on the European live circuit and would undergo further line-up changes when some months later \u003cstrong\u003eHugh McKenna\u003c\/strong\u003e replaced Batchelor and his cousin \u003cstrong\u003eTed McKenna\u003c\/strong\u003e (ex-Dream Police) took over from Monro on drums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIn August 1972 \u003cstrong\u003eZal Cleminson\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eTed McKenna\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eHugh McKenna\u003c\/strong\u003e, and \u003cstrong\u003eChris Glen\u003c\/strong\u003e joined forces with vocalist \u003cstrong\u003eAlex Harvey\u003c\/strong\u003e to form The Sensational Alex Harvey Band who would meet with success and record a series of inventive albums throughout the 1970s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThanks to the musician’s later work with SAHB, the \u003cem\u003eTear Gas\u003c\/em\u003e recordings are now highly sought after by collectors.
