The result is \u003cem\u003eGhost Owl\u003c\/em\u003e, ten tracks of fiddle and guitar written for, and inspired by, the barn owl, which was shortlisted for 2021's Instrumental Album Of The Year by Fatea Awards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWhile waiting for gigs to start up again, they continued to meet up to keep developing their repertoire. Americana, Old Time and British folk, in all its Trans-Atlantic glory, meets Eurojazz. Recorded live-in-the-studio with no overdubs, they swing on the 1920s classic \"If You Want The Rainbow.\" Tug the heart-strings with their 6\/8 reading of Cheryl Wheeler's \"Summer Fly.\" Shake the rafters with Williams' bluegrass-sounding \"Love Too Soon.\" Dive deep into the Piedmont blues with Pink Anderson's \"CC\u0026amp;O.\" Other songs include Rab Noakes' \"Jackson Greyhound,\" Olla Belle Reed's \"I've Endured,\" and Jean Ritchie's \"The L\u0026amp;N.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBrooks Williams\u003c\/strong\u003e, based in Cambridge UK and born in Georgia US, is known for both solo shows and collaborations (Boo Hewerdine, Rab Noakes, and Sloan Wainwright, among others).
