It was in 2015 that Rob Percy and Chris Parsons (previous members of Medway band Speedwell) began writing new material together. They knew they were onto something with this new project, and invited Joe Liste-Romero and Mike Grigson (previous members of Medway band The Ambience) to join to add drums and vocals to the songs' bare bones. Their debut album 'All Things To All People' was released in March 2019 on Trouserphonic Records, and in April 2021, the band released 'The Influencers EP' on vinyl via Spinout Nuggets, and released their second album, 'Back In The Land Of The Living', in 2022, - both receiving much interest. In recent years, The Pastel Waves have supported My Life Story, The Wedding Present, Chris Helme\/Nigel Clark, Tom Hingley, Space and The Bluetones, with their very own Platform 3 Club, based in Medway, and have also played Shiiine On Weekender (Minehead Butlins) and a few more festivals too.
