Their first 12\"single \"Descending G\/Phrases Redacted\" released during lockdown in 2020 featured Pavement\/Silver Jews members Steve West and Bob Nastanovitch, was heavily played on BBC6, and featured in Marc Riley's end of year best of list. The new EP features multiple contributors including Laura J Martin and Dbh. Each track being played essentially by a completely different line-up serves to better represent the band's varying influences, whilst being built around the same 4-piece band. Opening track \"Everybody Knows That I'm a Fool\" is an immediate 3-minute rocker, while \"Alone\/Aline\" goes on a sci-fi headtrip, filtering La Dusseldorf through the Rah Band along the way. \"I Was a Quarrelsome Youth\" is a brief dreamlike tale in the vein of Bill Callahan, while \"Summerease\" employs a complex wistfulness reminiscent of The Delgados or early Cardigans. Mixed and mastered by Iwan Morgan (Cate Le Bon, Gruff Rhys etc).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Sea Records","offers":[{"title":"12\"","offer_id":50478728839499,"sku":"2024948","price":14.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0867\/1120\/6219\/files\/CqfIvJzs_75c86d10_thumbnail_4096.jpg?v=1727490023","url":"https:\/\/shop.roughtrade.com\/de\/products\/summerease-ep","provider":"Rough Trade","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
