A-side taken from their forthcoming LP Children Of The Sect B-side exclusive to this release.

We spoke with Billy Childish about the single… Did you like anything about The Smiths? Yes. Les Dawson's version of 'Girlfriend in a Coma.' (I think that's the right title.) I actually detested them, but they had a couple of alright song titles. Their guitarist came up and spoke to me one time we played with Modest Mouse at the Albert Hall with our 100 Watt PA and was very nice. There’s a picture of Dave Davies on sleeve. What is it that you most like about The Kinks? Have you ever met Ray or Dave? I was brought up listening to The Kinks in the 1960s, along with the Stones, Beatles, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. When I was asked to sing in the Pop Rivets, in 1977, I suggested we play 'Hippy Hippy Shake', 'Wild Thing' and 'You Really Got Me' - My favourite thing of the Kinks? I like the R&B Kinks? Dave's guitaring, and we all dig the great drummer and bass player and of course Ray's writes a good tune, so - what's not to love? Apart from a lot of it. I never met a real live Kink, but we knew a girl who saw them play at Rochester Odeon, she and her mates asked Dave for his autograph, and he chased them screaming up Star Hill with his tiny pride and joy hanging out.
