Hailing from Vancouver Island, Canada, Dead Bob is the solo project of John Wright—legendary drummer of the now-retired punk rock powerhouse NoMeansNo. In this new incarnation, Wright is joined by Colin MacRae, Byron Slack, Ford Pier, and Kristy Lee Audette, reimagining two incredible covers to mark his reunion with the label that helped launch his legacy. He didn’t have to look far for the track “Some Bodies,” originally a NoMeansNo song from their 1985 release You Kill Me. This new version starts with rich vocal harmonies in the call back to the original a cappella intro and builds into an explosive reworking of the classic—with Audette’s powerful vocals along with bold horn arrangements driving it into new territory. The song loses none of its original intensity, instead gaining new layers and depth. NoMeansNo fans will be thrilled. On the flip side, "We Are The Humans" is a complete reimagining of Kraftwerk’s "We Are The Robots". In the age of AI, the track feels more relevant than ever with the new title and chant. The guitar and bass work is front and center, reminding listeners why John Wright's incredible songwriting legacy endures to this day. There’s a reason we say: Play it loud. With Dead Bob, John Wright and company do what few have managed since NoMeansNo’s retirement— honoring that stylistic past while boldly forging their own path forward. NoMeansNo fans, rejoice: a worthy successor has arrived and their name is Dead Bob.

Exactly three years after the debut album, Life Like Dead Bob continues to mine the archives of old and new demos that John Wright has created over the years, including two of the last songs demoed for NoMeansNo with brother Rob Wright.

Whereas Life Like was primarily a solo project of John, since the formation of the live band the gang, Ford Piert, Byron Slack, Kristy Lee Audette and Colin Macrae take a far more active role in this record.

Nothing Changes Everything is a 35 min, 8 song release that takes you on Bob's journey and keeps you wondering, “Where the f**k is this going next!” Balls to the walls and head in the clouds, you're in for a treat.

With a couple years under their belts and return of Selina Martin to collaborate on another song, Dead Bob takes it to the next level.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0867/1120/6219/files/0d2fa4aa-e56a-4bb4-3c9d-7e9d24e6a289.jpg?v=1776092625
