Over time, it evolved into a\n British clubbing institution, expanding to larger venues and eventually\n reaching an international audience. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eALFOS became known \nfor its eclectic and hypnotic sound, blending everything from kosmische \nand house to dub and post-punk. The night developed a loyal following, \nwith residencies at London's Phonox and Glasgow's Berkeley Suite, and it\n has taken its sound to various settings, from the Croatian coastline to\n the Golden Lion Pub in Todmorden. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFollowing Andrew \nWeatherall's passing in 2020, Sean Johnston has carried on the ALFOS \nlegacy. During the pandemic, he launched the A Love from Outer Space \nEmergency Broadcast System, a series of livestreamed DJ sets that kept \nthe community connected during a challenging time. These broadcasts were\n crucial in maintaining the ALFOS spirit when live events were paused, \nattracting a global audience and reinforcing the collective bond of the \ncommunity. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis compilation reflects the music \nthat has shaped ALFOS over the past 15 years while also hinting at its \nfuture.
