Described by Jon Lord of Deep Purple as \"a true mad professor type\", his innovations in the design of electronic music instruments have left an unquantifiable mark on the evolution of music technology touching the music of David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Aphex Twin to name but a few. 'The Electronic Calendar :The EMS Tapes' is the first complete retrospective of his earliest experiments in 1965 through to the dissolution of his studio and the bankruptcy of his company EMS Synthesizers in 1979. The collection is presented as a deluxe two CD set with extensive liner notes, exclusive photos and Zinovieff's own diary entries compiled by Sonic Boom a.k.a. The studio developed many synthesisers including the famed VCS3, AKS and the Synthi100, and financed the world's first computer controlled electronic music studio in Putney, London. Unlike the more familiar humpback whale, the blue whale song consists of repeated low-frequency vibrations followed by a contrasted high-frequency chirrup. A single complete call from the largest creatures ever to have existed on earth has been manipulated to create an immersive soundscape. The composition is in five broad movements, and highlights the complex communication systems and ever-changing habitat of the blue whale.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"The Association for Depth Sound Recordings","offers":[{"title":"Clear | LP","offer_id":50513489297739,"sku":"1127337","price":27.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0867\/1120\/6219\/files\/dd822aba-69b0-4951-ab7e-7439e7c4a2f8_thumbnail_4096.jpg?v=1727933239"}],"url":"https:\/\/shop.roughtrade.com\/fr\/collections\/peter-zinovieff.oembed","provider":"Rough Trade","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
