Sumerian Records

Sumerian Records is a US record label founded in California in 2006, with a strong footing in heavy metal and its neighbouring styles. Founded and run by Ash Avildsen, it has built a catalogue that stretches from metalcore and post-hardcore into darker, more crossover territory.

That range comes through in releases by artists including Bad Omens, Born of Osiris, Asking Alexandria, Chiodos and Static Dress, alongside work from Poppy and Youth Code. Rather than treating heavy music as one fixed sound, Sumerian has consistently worked across different corners of the scene while keeping a clear connection to its heavier roots.
