The A-side might just be the best thing they've ever done – a gentle understated melodic outing with a lovely vocal from Katie Scaife. On the B-side is a fabulous cover of Beat Happening's Angel Gone. The Lovely Basement say that they set out to mix alt-country with the Velvet Underground. They also say they failed, but quite like the result. So, what do you find in The Lovely Basement?
