He started writing and demoing songs with no particular plan. From 2001, he had recorded with longtime friend and collaborator Sean Hewson as \u003cem\u003eMonster Movie\u003c\/em\u003e, releasing several albums on Graveface Records. These new ideas felt different in that they’re more personal and honest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eChristian\u003c\/strong\u003e sent these sketches to good friends and multi-instrumentalists, \u003cstrong\u003eRyan Graveface\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003cem\u003eDreamend\u003c\/em\u003e \/ \u003cem\u003eThe Casket Girls\u003c\/em\u003e) and \u003cstrong\u003eSteve Clarke\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003cem\u003eThe Soft Cavalry\u003c\/em\u003e), and \u003cstrong\u003eBeachy Head\u003c\/strong\u003e was formed. \u003cstrong\u003eRyan\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eChristian\u003c\/strong\u003e put flesh on the bones in Savannah just before Covid struck. \u003cstrong\u003eMatt Duckworth\u003c\/strong\u003e (Flaming Lips) added drums. In between lockdowns back in the UK, \u003cstrong\u003eSteve\u003c\/strong\u003e added harmonies and other instrumentation. The final touch of recording was \u003cstrong\u003eRachel Goswell\u003c\/strong\u003e (Slowdive \/ Mojave 3 \/ The Soft Cavalry \/ Minor Victories) contributing vocals on a few songs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBeachy Head\u003c\/strong\u003e is a chalk cliff in Sussex.
