Leonard Dillon was the founding member of The Ethiopians, began his singing career at Clement ‘Coxanne’ Dodd’s Studio One. Initially he recorded under the name Jack Sparrow and he was backed by The Wailers, cutting \u003ci\u003eIce Water\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eSuffering in the Land. \u003c\/i\u003eUnder The Wailers encouragement, he went on to form his own vocal group. Recruiting singers Stephen Taylor and Aston Charlie Morris to become The Ethiopians. They cut \u003ci\u003eLive Good, Why You Gonna Leave Me Now\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eOwe Me No Pay Me. \u003c\/i\u003eAlthough receiving favourable response Aston Morris decided to leave the band and the remaining pair carried on and recorded \u003ci\u003eI Am A Free Man\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eDon Dead Already\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eFor You\u003c\/i\u003e. For this release Kingston Sounds have included the full \u003ci\u003eSlave Call\u003c\/i\u003e set.
