Next, 1992’s ‘Where You Been’ \ncontinued that global ascent, becoming Dinosaur Jr’s most successful \nalbum up to that point, reaching #50 in the US (where it sold over a \nquarter of a million copies), hitting #10 in the UK album charts, and \nspawning the hit single ‘Start Choppin’.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e1994’s \u003ci\u003eWithout A Sound\u003c\/i\u003e, the band’s 6th album, continued that growth\n in popularity and commercial achievement, reaching #44 in the US (their\n highest ever album placing there) and featuring the hit singles ‘Feel \nThe Pain’ and ‘I Don’t Think So’. Such was their appeal that the they \nalso reached the mainstream during this period, contributing ‘Blah’ to \nthe hit US TV show Melrose Place before 1997’s \u003ci\u003eHand It Over \u003c\/i\u003eappeared \nat a time of declining international interest in American alternative \nrock.
