Moving through ancestral percussion, synthesizers, enigmatic themes and mystical expanses, it conjures an imagined Africa suspended between ethnographic documentary, psychedelia and Kraut electronics.

While echoing the mysterious, hypnotic atmospheres of Africa Oscura, it also moves towards a sunnier, more contemplative dimension. On “Wild Life”, percussion, acoustic guitar, electric bass, Hammond organ and flute shape the savanna theme, while on “Alba sulla savana”, Edda Dell’Orso’s wordless vocals evoke serenity. These moments reconnect with Zoo Folle, suggesting some pieces may stem from the same 1974 sessions.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0867/1120/6219/files/cover.ki-2_62aafbb2-33b4-477a-ab4d-4952a4fb9057.jpg?v=1791230131
