ELA003 comes in the form of 2 long-form drum improvisations from the new duo of Dan Johnson (EP/64, ex-Run Logan Run), a recognisable name to anyone on the Bristol improv scene, and improv newcomer Noah Radley (Bronca Substitute, Elastic Furniture Tapes owner). Coming together over a shared love of Brian Chippendale, Greg Saunier, Milford Graves, Susie Ibarra, Zach Hill and a natural inclination for percussive exploration and discovery, they recorded in May 2022, and these recordings show their natural chemistry and knack for wielding aural light and dark with precision and intricacy.
