After playing all instruments on his debut solo album '\u003cem\u003eClangour\u003c\/em\u003e', this time around Sigfusson wanted to move closer to the sound of a live band and recruited a number of his friends from Múm, Amiina and Seabear to record '\u003cem\u003eSummer Echoes\u003c\/em\u003e' in his own studio and Sigur Rós' Sundlaugin studio.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe arrangements are more band oriented, grander in scope and more transparent than their predecessor's and there is a diverse breadth of sounds across '\u003cem\u003eSummer Echoes\u003c\/em\u003e' dozen songs, reaching from a heart-breaking intimate piano ballad like '\u003cem\u003eTwo Boys\u003c\/em\u003e' to sudden outbursts of guitar noise in '\u003cem\u003eBruises\u003c\/em\u003e'.
