Aswad

Formed in the Ladbroke Grove area of West London in 1974, *Aswad* is a reggae band led by the trio of Brinsley "Dan" Forde on vocals and rhythm guitar, Angus "Drummie Zeb" Gaye on vocals and drums, and Tony "Gad" Robinson on bass. With two of the founder members still performing today, Drummie Zeb and Tony Gad, *Aswad* has become an influential force in the reggae music scene.

Known for their captivating live performances and infectious grooves, *Aswad* has established themselves as one of the pioneers of British reggae. Their unique blend of roots reggae with elements of R&B, soul, and pop has garnered them a dedicated fan base worldwide.

Inspired by legendary artists such as Third World, The Abyssinians, Culture, Black Uhuru, Steel Pulse, Israel Vibration and many more from the reggae genre; *Aswad* continues to create timeless music that resonates with audiences across generations.
