Basquiat

Basquiat was the Brooklyn-born American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, whose work moved from graffiti into raw, figurative painting. Using text, symbols and fractured bodies, he made art that felt immediate and charged, while staying rooted in the street culture that first brought his name into view.
