Carcass

A seminal death metal band from Liverpool/Merseyside, UK, Carcass was founded in 1985. After disbanding in 1996, they reunited in 2007 for live shows and have been a fully functional group since 2012, creating new music and touring.

The current line-up consists of *Bill Steer* on guitar (1985-1996, 2007 – ), *Jeff Walker* on bass and vocals (1986-1996, 2007 – ), *Daniel Wilding* on drums (2012 – ), and *James Blackford* on guitar for live performances since 2021.

With their unique sound and influential presence in the death metal genre, Carcass has inspired artists such as Obituary, Deicide, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death, Malevolent Creation, Terrorizer, Vader, Dismember, Autopsy,Pestilence,Suffocation,Benediction ,Death ,Brutal Truth,Nile ,Unleashed,Gorefest,and Immolation.
