Dario Marianelli

Dario Marianelli is an Italian composer from Pisa, best known for his work in film. His catalogue moves comfortably between large-scale studio scores and more intimate dramatic settings, with a clear feel for melody and atmosphere rather than empty display.

Alongside soundtracks including Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Wildwood, Marianelli has also been credited for the score to Shrooms. He is one of those composers whose name tends to appear when a film needs music with shape, detail and narrative purpose, making him a familiar presence for anyone who follows contemporary screen music.
