Dennis Young

Dennis Young is a self-taught musician best known as the marimba player and percussionist for Liquid Liquid, a trend-setting early 1980's NYC band. Their song "Cavern" was famously used by *Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel* in "White Lines".

Young's musical journey began with drums at an early age, but his curiosity led him to explore other instruments including marimba, percussion, keyboards, guitar, and vocals. He composes his own music which combines influences from rock, jazz, dance, electronic and world music. His compositions are characterized by unique rhythms and colorful musical textures.

In addition to his work with Liquid Liquid, Dennis Young has released 9 solo albums to date. He has also lent his expertise to various local musicians through production and studio work.
