Born on July 17, 1961 in Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts, he left an indelible mark on the music industry. Known by his stage name "Guru," which stands for "Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal," he captivated audiences with his lyrical prowess. Sadly, Guru passed away on April 19, 2010 in New York City at the age of 48.
