Jetstream Pony

Jetstream Pony are a Brighton / Croydon-based band working at the meeting point of power-pop, post-punk and indie-pop. The group brings together familiar names from several long-running UK indie outfits: Beth Arzy of Aberdeen, Charlie Big Time, The Fireworks, The Luxembourg Signal and Trembling Blue Stars, alongside guitarist and backing vocalist Shaun Charman of The Wedding Present, The Popguns and The Fireworks, with Kerry Boettcher of Turbocat on bass and Hannes Müller on drums.

That shared background gives Jetstream Pony a clear lineage without making them a nostalgia exercise. Releases including Jetstream Pony, Misplaced Words, Bowerbirds and Blue Things and Schrammelig trace a band rooted in independent pop craft, with a feel for melodic directness and the wirier edges of post-punk.
