Johannes Schmoelling

Johannes Schmölling, or Schmoelling, was born in Lohne, Germany in 1950. He obtained a degree in sound engineering in 1978 and began his musical career with the band Tangerine Dream from 1979-1985.

Since 1986, *Schmoelling* has worked successfully as a solo artist and composer for theatre and TV. In 2011, he joined forces with Jerome Froese and Linda Spa to form Loom, a new three-member band in the tradition of Tangerine Dream.
