Jonas Hellborg

Jonas Hellborg is a Swedish bassist known for his contributions to the jazz/fusion genre. Born on June 7, 1958 in Gothenburg, he has collaborated with renowned musicians such as John McLaughlin, Bill Laswell, Shawn Lane, Buckethead, Jens Johansson and Anders Johansson. In 1981, Hellborg made his international debut at the Montreux Jazz Festival with a solo bass performance that showcased his groundbreaking slapping technique.
