K Records

K Records is the Olympia, Washington label founded by Calvin Johnson in 1982. It began with cassette-only releases by local bands, then widened out through the International Pop Underground singles series. That grounding in Olympia DIY culture still suits a catalogue where The Softies, Dub Narcotic Sound System and newer names sit comfortably together.
