Collection: Mazzy Star
Mazzy Star is a U.S. band known for their unique blend of folk, country, and psychedelic rock. Formed in 1990 by David Roback and Hope Sandoval, they were part of the Paisley Underground movement based in Santa Monica, California. Originally called Opal, they changed their name to Mazzy Star and released their debut album featuring the re-recorded song "Ghost Highway." Although they never officially split up, the band took a long hiatus from 1997 to 2013. Sadly, Mazzy Star effectively ended after the passing of David Roback in February 2020.
