New Noise

New Noise Magazine is a Berkeley, California music publication focused on the underground and alternative end of things, with regular coverage of punk, hardcore, metal and indie. Founded in 2013, it has built its identity around artists and scenes that tend to sit just outside the mainstream, treating heavy music and adjacent communities with the same seriousness as wider alternative culture.

That scope comes through in its bimonthly print issues as well as its wider presence online. More than a general music title, New Noise Magazine is rooted in independent coverage and scene-level detail, which is what gives it a clear place in contemporary US music publishing.
