Nimbus West

Nimbus West is an independent US jazz record label that was founded in 1979 by Tom Albach. The label came into existence after Albach discovered some tapes he had purchased from a fellow music enthusiast. With a focus on the spiritual jazz scene in Los Angeles during the late 70s and early 80s, Nimbus West offers a unique glimpse into this vibrant musical era. In the early 80s, Albach relocated to Amsterdam and expanded the label's reach by releasing works from artists based there as well.
