Collection: Orang-Utan

An often considered Psychedelic, Acid Rock, Heavy Rock, Hard Rock group from London, England, Orang Utan featured musicians from several other notable dissolving bands in the late 60s. Their only album was originally released exclusively in the U.S. on Bell Records label in 1970.

The band's members included Terry "Nobby" Clark as the vocalist, Mick Clarke and Sid Fairman on guitars, Paul Roberts on bass, and Jeff Seopardie on drums. The album showcased their incredible talent with brilliant songs written by Jeff Seopardie and impressive guitar and bass riffs developed by Mick Clarke and Paul Roberts respectively.

With great twin lead guitar work and long tracks like "Chocolate Piano," Orang Utan's music is reminiscent of Leaf Hound and early Led Zeppelin with a late '60s U.S. feel.
