Ringo Starr is a British musician, singer, songwriter, and occasional actor. He rose to fame as the drummer for The Beatles from 1962 until their breakup in 1970. In addition to his work with The Beatles, Ringo has had a successful solo career and founded his own record label. He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including nine Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ringo continues to tour and record music with his band since 1989.
Throughout his career, Ringo Starr has made significant contributions to the music industry. Born on July 7, 1940 in Liverpool, England, he joined The Beatles in August 1962 as their new drummer after replacing Pete Best. His distinctive drumming style became an integral part of the band's sound.
