Sony Masterworks

Sony Masterworks is a multinational label that has been making waves in the music industry since its introduction in February 1992. Although it was discontinued around 1997, the label made a comeback during the Sony BMG era between 2004 and 2008. During this time, it was known as *Sony BMG Masterworks*. In 2010, Sony Music Entertainment launched a new classical music label called *Masterworks*, which features the iconic *Masterworks* text within a rectangular box as its logo.
